TORRANCE, CA — January 5, 2000 — LEDtronics® announces the 1293 Series Safelight LED Cluster Lamps that emit the correct wavelength necessary for light-sensitive applications without requiring add-on filters. Outstanding brightness control, color stability and long life combine to make the 1293 Series LEDtronics Safelight LED Cluster Lamps ideal replacements for any overhead incandescent lamps with Safelight filters.

Applications ranging from film manufacturing to military operations to personal darkrooms and many other light-sensitive environments benefit from employing direct-incandescent-and-filter-replacement 1293 Series Safelights. 1293 Series Safelights come in narrow, medium and wide angles of illumination. Wavelengths available are red, amber, green and infrared. Additionally, LEDtronics offers dual-color lamps for accommodating multiple projects within the same light-sensitive area.

LEDtronics’ 1293 Infrared Lamp is perfect for use in military operations, security procedures, surveillance situations and other applications that depend on visual acuity in absolute darkness. The 1293 Infrared Lamp operates in the 800 - 1000 nanometer infrared region of the spectrum, which means you can see (with the aid of a night vision viewer) the heat radiated or reflected from objects, thereby, providing visual clarity in complete darkness.

1293 Series Safelights holders are made of rugged, Rynite® polyester resin (UL class UL94V0, UL listing E110075) to withstand the rigors of industrial environments. Holders incorporate Edison-screw bases that fit standard light sockets or holders. 1293 Series Cluster Lamps are available in common voltages from 5V to 240V, DC or AC. Built-in current-limiting resistors and polarity-protection diodes assure that no circuit modifications are required. The 120- to 240-volt AC models may be connected directly to line voltage, eliminating the need for a step-down transformer to supply the low voltage required by these 1293 LED lamps.

The 1293 Series Safelight LED Cluster Lamps’ solid-state design renders them impervious to electrical and mechanical shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. With an average life span of 100,000-plus hours (11 years), 1293 Series Safelight LED lamps operate reliably year after year. That’s more than 20 times longer than the equivalent incandescent lamp! Savings from reduced maintenance costs and downtime quickly return the capital expenditure! Additionally, 1293 Series Safelight LED lamps produce almost no heat and require 80% - 90% less operating power than equivalent incandescents, making them as friendly to the environment as they are to the operating budget.|

Founded in 1983, LEDtronics® leads where others only follow when it comes to designing, manufacturing and packaging state-of-the-art LEDs to meet the world’s constantly changing lighting needs. Our inventive product line encompasses an array of direct incandescent lamp replacement Based LEDs, low-cost snap-in and relampable Panel Mount LEDs, high intensity sunlight-visible Discrete LEDs, PCB LEDs circuit board status indicators, surface mount diodes SMT LEDs, full-spectrum rainbow RGB LEDs and Infra-Red (IR) LEDs.

Samples are available to qualified customers. Prices for 1293 Series Safelight LED Cluster Lamps range from $60.00 - $120.00 each (in quantity of 100) depending on the number of LEDs and LED technology color.
