TORRANCE, CA - June 30, 1998 - LEDtronics®, Inc. was recently honored as an outstanding supplier by two companies.

DSC Communications Corporation, Plano, Texas, presented LEDtronics® with a DSC Supplier Award at a convention they held for critical suppliers.

"LEDtronics® has continually provided excellent service in meeting our specific catalog, custom, and semi-custom LED device requirements. For example, while a bi-color LED was going obsolete, LEDtronics® provided engineering support to modify their standard part to a specific die intensity and custom pin layout, providing a qualifiable 2nd source," stated Phillip Adell, Optoelectronics Commodity Team Leader. "This is typical of LEDtronics®’ willingness to meet specific lead, die, and housing requirements for DSC. As a result, they have been qualified as a second source for over a half dozen critical LED components."

In addition, LEDtronics® Sales Representative Curt Pool, Sales Manager for Maximum Technologies, received a Personal Achievement Award from DSC for his design and cost savings suggestions related to LEDtronics®’ product line.

"Curt Pool has served as an excellent liaison to LEDtronics® for DSC’s interests. He has loaned LED test equipment to DSC in order to aid in the testing and qualification process of critical second sources, while working closely with DSC and LEDtronics® to make sure that any custom requirements are met," continued Adell. "He personally performed all necessary groundwork to identify possible 2nd sources from LEDtronics® for over fifty existing single-sourced LEDs. This resulted in a savings of over 75 man hours for DSC personnel."

Groupe Schneider North America, Square D Company, Ashville Division, presented LEDtronics® with a Supplier Performance Award, 1st Quarter, 1998. The award was given because LEDtronics® achieved a supplier excellence status, based on a minimum quality rating of 99.85 percent and a minimum delivery rating of 96 percent.
