Compact, Lightweight Emergency Strobe Lasts Over 80 Hours
30-SEP-97

TORRANCE, CA — September 30, 1997 — Hikers, hunters and other outdoorsmen can carry an extra measure of security into the backcountry with a new compact, Electronic Emergency Strobe available only from LEDtronics®, Inc.

Available with an amber or clear lens, the lightweight unit is only 4-1/8 inches tall, yet produces a repeating flash which can be seen up to five miles away, depending on atmospheric conditions. A Xenon gas tube, the heart of the unit, will flash continuously 50-70 times a minute for 16 hours, then continue at a diminishing rate for up to 72 hours when powered by one "D" cell battery.

Small and light enough to be carried by children while hiking, LEDtronics®’ strobe is ideal for campers, skiers, bicyclists and boaters. Waterproof to a depth of three feet, it meets U.S. Coast Guard performance standards and features a stainless-steel pin for attaching to a life jacket, clothing or backpack.

The Emergency Electronic Strobe is available for $24.95 per unit. Discounts are available for large purchases. The strobe is available in production quantities in 45-60 days with smaller quantities available to customers in 1-2 weeks.
