TORRANCE, CA — June 27, 1997 — A new line of ultra-bright LEDs
offering easy replacement for many common incandescent lamps used in industrial
control, motor control and pilot light applications has been introduced
by LEDtronics®, Inc.
Both the B321 (20-45° angle of illumination) and BF321 (120° angle
of illumination) Series LEDs are based on new Indium Gallium and Gallium
Nitride chip technology which yields a significant increase in total light
output. They are designed to directly replace industry-standard T-3-1/4
bayonet-based incandescent lamps including the popular #44, #47, #120MB,
#755, #1819, #1820 and #1835, among many others.
Unlike the filament lamps they replace, these rugged LEDs are virtually
impervious to shock, vibration and temperature extremes. They use a tiny
fraction of the energy, generate no heat, and offer comparable if not greater
luminous intensity and pure- wavelength light for more uniform illumination.
In typical applications they provide sharper, high-intensity illumination
and better visibility than standard lamps, achieve full brightness more
rapidly, and have an MTBF of some 100,000 hours.
The B321/BF321 Series can be specified in virtually any combination of colors
and operating voltages, from 5 to 120v, AC/DC or bi-polar, and in ultra
bright colors of Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue (both at 430nm or 470nm), Blue
Green, Aqua Green and White. Depending upon color, the B321/BF321 pricing
ranges from $4.50 to $11.00 in the 100 piece quantity. The B321/BF321 Series
is available in production quantities in 30-45 days with samples and/or
prototype quantities available to qualified customers in one to two weeks.
