Infrared LED Lamps enable image capture in total darkness.
Offered in 850, 880, and 940 nm wavelengths, infrared LED lamps incorporate industry-standard
bases and are available with several angles of emission. Able to resist ambient-light
and electromagnetic interference, LEDs' solid-state construction is impervious
to electrical and mechanical shocks, vibrations, and environmental extremes. LEDs
are suited for equipment used in low-light rescues, surveillance tasks, law enforcement
operations and military exercises.
Turn Night into Day with Infrared LEDs and Infrared Security LED Bulbs
TORRANCE. CA — September 30, 2003 — LEDtronics® announces an
expanded line of Infrared (IR) LED (Light Emitting Diode) Lamps, which provide
the illumination needed by infrared, sensitive equipment to capture clear images
in total darkness or low-light conditions. LEDtronics offers Infrared LED Lamps
in three wavelengths (850nm, 880nm and 940nm), a variety of standard electrical
bases, many LED configurations and several angles of emission. Industry-standard
bases enable these IR LED lamps to be integrated into traditional wiring systems
without requiring modifications, furthering the use of IR technology in both
indoor and outdoor applications. Infrared LEDs are ideal light sources for equipment
that is often used in low-light rescues, surveillance tasks, law enforcement
operations and military exercises. Due to their resistance to ambient-light
and electromagnetic interference (EMI), Infrared LEDs enhance the performance
of night vision devices, wireless communications, navigation systems, automated
machinery, etc... LEDtronics IR LED lamps and bulbs are available in all standard
domestic and international voltages.
Solid-state construction renders IR LEDs impervious to electrical and mechanical
shocks, vibrations, frequent switchings and environmental extremes. Lamps perform
well in applications subjected to voltage dips or surges. Integrated current-limited
resistors and polarity-protection diodes assure that no circuit modifications
are required. Additionally, with the use of multiple LEDs, an LED cluster lamp
continues to provide light even if one or more emitters fail unlike when the
filament breaks in an incandescent bulb. With an average life span of 100,000-plus
hours (11 years), LEDs operate year-after-year making them ideal illuminators
for applications that require a reliable light source. IR LED lamps use only
10% - 20% of the energy consumed by equivalent conventionally-constructed IR
lamps, and when combined with their maintenance-free operation results in substantial
cost savings.
Founded in 1983, LEDtronics® leads where others only follow when it comes
to designing, manufacturing and packaging state-of-the-art LEDs to meet the
world's constantly changing lighting needs. Our inventive product line encompasses
an array of direct incandescent lamp replacement Based LEDs, low-cost snap-in
and relampable Panel Mount LEDs, high intensity sunlight-visible Discrete LEDs,
PCB LEDs circuit board status indicators, surface mount diodes SMT LEDs, full-spectrum
rainbow RGB LEDs and InfraRed (IR) LEDs.
Prices for Infrared LED Lamps range from $30.00 - $300.00 each in quantity
of 1,000 depending on the diode technology, number of LEDs and lamp model. Availability
is stock to 4 – 6 weeks for special requirements. For qualified customers,
samples are available to meet your design requirements.
