LED Lamps that are designed to replace incandescent 1157 bulbs in combination
tail/brake signals and backup lights in most cars, motorcycles, forklifts,
ATVs and trailers. Having nearly twice as many LEDs as competitive lamps,
the AUT-1157R1 LED lamps feature 30 Super Red (633nm), 30 Super Yellow
(595nm)
or 9 Cool White (8000K) discrete LEDs that are scientifically configured
to maximize brightness and to fill the entire light fixture. Total light
output is 120 end footcandles for Red, 90 end footcandles for Yellow
and 45 end footcandles for White.
Integrating solid-state electronics with advanced LED technology, LEDtronics'
AUT-1157R1 LED lamps offer automotive applications years of reliable performance,
which represents potentially millions of dollars in reduced repairs and
ancillary costs. Due to faster turn-on times than conventional incandescent
signal lamps, AUT-1157R1 LED lamps promote safe driving by increasing the

The AUT-1157R1 LED lamps advantages over equivalent incandescents are not

AUT-1157R1 LED lamps replace incandescent lamps numbered 1157 bulbs. AUT-1157R1
LEDs feature built-in current-limiting resistors and polarity-protection
diodes to assure that circuit modifications are not required.
LED lamps' low-current, high-efficiency operation uses on 10% - 20% of the
power consumed by incandescents. Not only are AUT-1157R1 LED lamps energy
friendly, but the reduced power consumption presents both the manufacturer
and vehicle owner with a number of potential cost savings and design options
such as reducing the size of the alternator, using light gauge wire for
the electrical system and improving fuel consumption due to less weight
and engine load. Additionally, LED lamps produce little or no heat resulting
in lighted panels that are cool-to-the-touch unlike those lit by incandescent
lamps. A typical LED lamp provides an intense beam of colored light. The
intensity and wavelength remain stable over the lamp's lifetime of 100,000-plus
hours. (That's 30-50 times longer than incandescent bulbs!)
