May 30, 2007 – Torrance, CA – This week a delegation
of top business leaders from the Republic of Azerbaijan visited industry
leader
LEDtronics, Inc. and its CEO and President, Mr. Pervaiz Lodhie. The
main topic of discussion with Torrance-based LEDtronics — a manufacturer
of LED lamps and energy-saving products — was how and where LEDtronics
and Azerbaijani businesses could develop partnerships and begin to
help the Republic of Azerbaijan conserve energy consumed for lighting.
The delegation was led by Azerbaijan’s preeminent Deputy Minister
of Economic Development Mikayil Jabbarov. A broad spectrum of business
sectors were represented, including technology, banking, land and
real estate development, engineering, eco-materials manufacturing,
insurance, waste management, agriculture and more. Some key leaders
in attendance were Mr. Afgan Isayev, VP Strategic Planning, Bank
of Baku and Mr. Emil Majidov, President, Azpromo.
The Republic of Azerbaijan is one of the fastest growing economies
in the world, with a GDP growth reaching an astounding 38 percent
in the first quarter of 2007. A leading economic performer and a
keystone nation in the Caspian-Black Sea region, Azerbaijan provides
diverse opportunities for cooperation and offers a dynamic environment
for investment.
Founded in 1983 by Mr. Pervaiz Lodhie, LEDtronics® leads where
others only follow when it comes to designing, manufacturing and
packaging state-of-the-art LEDs to meet the world’s constantly
changing lighting needs. LEDtronics inventive product line encompasses
an array of direct incandescent bulb replacement with energy saving,
long life LED bulbs and Lamps. LED bulbs last up to 100,000 hours,
over ten years, which greatly reduces maintenance and replacement
costs because LEDs are virtually immune to shock and vibration.
LED bulbs use a fraction of the electricity (LED lamps use 80%
to 90% less energy then the incandescent lamps they replace) necessary
to light an incandescent bulb; they significantly reduce power
consumption to help achieve energy conservation goals. LED bulbs

also remain cool so there is no excessive heat build-up, which
can influence building air conditioning costs.
