TORRANCE, CA — May 31, 2001 — LEDtronics® announces PCB LED Indicators for RJ45 Ports that enable visual confirmation of data
traffic, network connectivity and signal integrity on data/tele-communication
equipment such as Ethernet hubs, bridges, routers, modems, etc. . . . With
a slim profile and the way it nests with RJ45 ports on the PCB, the black
UL940V0-compliant housing takes up minimal space. Coplanar design facilitates
alignment and arrayed configurations. Advanced optical grade epoxy is used
to produce illumination that is bright and smooth. Diffused lenses are standard,
clear lenses optional. These LEDs come in two configurations, one LED or
two LEDs, and shapes - rectangular or domed. Domed indicators are 3mm (T1).
Rectangular LEDs come in two sizes, 1.8mm x 3.8mm or 2mm x 5mm. Single-colored
LEDs are stocked in Red, Green and Yellow. Bi-colored combinations are Red/Green
and Yellow/Green. Dependent upon factory approval, Orange and Pure Green
may be ordered for either configuration.
Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to shock, vibration, frequent
switching and environmental extremes. With an average life span of 100,000-plus
hours (11 years), LED lamps operate more than 20 times longer than the equivalent
incandescent lamp! Savings from reduced maintenance costs and downtime quickly
return the capital investment expenditure! LED lamps produce almost no heat
and require 80% - 90% less operating power than equivalent incandescents,
making them as friendly to the environment as they are to the operating
budget.
