TORRANCE, CA — March 5, 2001 — LEDtronics® announces the PC145 Series Round 3mm PCB LED indicators. These right angle,
single-level LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are designed for applications
where the board configuration requires the PCB LED to be taller than the
surrounding components while providing the stability necessary to align
status indicators precisely.
Advanced optical grade epoxy is used to produce
illumination that is bright and smooth. Diffused lenses are standard
for single-colored LEDs. Bi-colored LEDs come with milky-white lenses. Clear
lenses are optional for both. Single-colored LEDs are stocked in Red,
Green
and Yellow. Bi-colored combinations are Red/Green and Yellow/Green.
Dependent upon factory approval, Orange, Cool White and Pure Green may be ordered
for either configuration. Housings are made of rugged, black UL94V0-compliant
polycarbonate. Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to shock,
vibration,
frequent switching and environmental extremes.
With an average life
span of 100,000-plus hours (11 years), LED lamps operate more than 20 times
longer
than the equivalent incandescent lamp! Savings from reduced maintenance
costs and downtime quickly return the capital investment expenditure!
LED lamps produce almost no heat and require 80% - 90% less operating power
than equivalent incandescents, making them as friendly to the environment
