availability Ultra-Miniature 0603-Profile SurfLEDsTM (light emitting diodes) that are compatible with infrared and convective reflow soldering
as well as pick-and-place automated equipment.
Measuring a miniscule 1.6mm x 0.8mm, 0603-Profile SurfLEDs expand the options available for backlighting
personal desktop accessories, cellular telephones, keypads, palm pilots, data
communication equipment, etc. Ultra-Miniature 0603-Profile SurfLEDs radiate
a vivid light that is available in two intensities: (1) High Efficiency 2.0 mcd - 20
mcd at 20 mA current, and (2) Super Bright SurfLEDs 25 mcd - 60 mcd at
20 mA current. LEDtronics offers 0603-Profile SurfLEDs in six colors and several
related hues, on EIA standard 8mm tape seven-foot reels, and with viewing
angles of 140º. Additionally, using SurfLEDs with LEDtronics OptiLED
Light Pipes simplifies the spatial relationship between the PCB (printed
circuit board) and remote indicator illumination points by channeling all
of the LED-generated light to the exact location where the light is required.
High-Efficiency 0603-Profile SurfLEDs are available in Super Red (660 nm,
20 mcd), High-Efficiency Red (635nm, 12 mcd), Amber (610nm, 15 mcd) Yellow
(585nm, 10 mcd), Hi-Efficiency Green (568nm, 18 mcd), Green (568nm, 15 mcd)
and Pure Green (555 nm, 2.0 mcd). Super-Bright 0603s come in Super Red (660nm,
25 mcd), Ultra Red (660nm, 40 mcd), Super Orange (620nm, 60 mcd), Soft Orange
(610nm, 50 mcd), Super Yellow (595nm, 60 mcd / 587nm, 60 mcd), Aqua Green
(523nm, 60 mcd) and Blue (470nm, 30 mcd).
