TORRANCE, Calif., June 27, 2006 -- LEDtronics announces the PAR46 series lamp
marker lights for rail trains, display lighting and stage lighting.
The PAR46 LED lamp comes in a sealed, round dome-shaped fixture
that protects the LEDs inside. This LED lamp creates a bright, glowing spotlight
that the manufacturer said is perfect for many applications, such as: trains,
forklifts, industrial vehicles, golf carts, architectural accent lighting, low-heat
medical spotlighting, loading dock signals, stage lighting and more.
These lamps all exceed SAE requirements and standards to provide bright light
in many industrial applications. The PAR46 lamp can be a direct drop-in replacement
to the incandescent bulb #60PAR/2/R, LEDtronics said.
The housing itself is a sealed unit that is resistant to moisture and dust,
making it perfect for outdoor purposes where it may be exposed to harsh environments.
The robust LED lamp marker light in red color is available in 25-38 VDC or 10-85
VDC applications. Also available in 10-85 VDC is the white lamp marker. The
peak intensities of LED lamps reach up to a dazzling 350 cd. The PAR46 design
generates a negligible amount of heat and can brightly indicate a person's presence
while using only 3.80 W of power, the company said.
Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to shock, vibration, frequent switching
and environmental extremes. With an average life span of 100,000-plus hours
(11 years), LED lamps operate more than 20 times longer than the equivalent
incandescent lamp, the company said.
LED lamps produce almost no heat and require 80-90 percent less operating power
than equivalent incandescents, making them environmentally friendly, LEDtronics
said. PAR46 series lamp marker lights retail from $98.50 to $125, depending
on color and voltage. Large quantity discounts and custom design colors or voltage
orders are available. Availability is stock to four to six weeks for special
requirements; PAR46 lamps carry a three-year limited warranty. For more information,
