Spectrum-tailored grow light is plant specific and more efficient than incandescents
Available in configurations containing one, two, four, or eight multiemitter
arrays, the PlantLED grow lamp uses LEDs to generate the specific colors of
light that plants use most efficiently for vigorous growth and health. In addition,
the lamp uses significantly less energy and gives off much less waste heat than
broad-spectrum devices based on incandescent, fluorescent, or metallic-vapor
technology.
An additional benefit of the LED grow lamp is that the light output is relatively
dim to the human eye, reducing glare and irritation when tending plants. Also,
the device's light weight and directional emission pattern makes system integration
easier than with lights that require heavy ballasts or bulky secondary reflectors
to operate properly. (From $159.95—available now.)
